Marinite C can be used in direct contact applications with aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. It requires no foundry facing wash and will not lead to contamination of the metals. Because Marinite C has a low heat capacity, preheating is not required. The non-ferrous metals do not adhere to the material even when they cool and solidify. Marinite C can be machined into shapes for specific applications. Marinite C was designed for use in the non-ferrous foundry and glass industries for conveying, containing, handling and forming molten aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. It is widely used for launders and tough linings, spouts, floats, stoppers, dams, baffles and basins.
